I have gone from telling my people my wedding date and hearing "Wow. You have some time." to "Wow! Thats soon!" The stress of all the little details is really getting to me.
The centerpieces. Oh, the centerpieces. I am not going into detail because you will just have to wait and see them on that day.
All of the last minute things that just have to be last minute are driving me bonkers.
10 days. 10 days. 10 days.

The Invitation Crisis
Oh invitations. They have been the biggest ordeal of this whole event.
Choosing the invitations was easy. Ordering them was not. How should the wording be? How many do I need? Do I really need an inner envelope? Do we want them pre-labeled with the return address? I do no like making decisions. We eventually made it through the lone process and ordered them.
I have been working for a while to gather addresses. I put them all on labels and then decided I didn't like those labels, so we began the search for clear Avery 5161 labels instead of 5160.
In the mean time I was trying to figure out how one earth to assemble these crazy things. I have an inner envelope, outside envelope, directions card, RSVP card, and RSVP envelope. Which one should go on top? Should the RSVP card go in the envelope? What direction should they be facing? I spent a lot of time on wedding websites and I think I finally have it figured out. During my time on the wedding websites I saw that the inner address needs it's own special label. I decided that the labels that didn't work for the outer envelope would work for these. There I was, creating more labels.
We purchased regular stamps for the bridal shower and I had some left over, so I thought that I could at least get started putting stamps on each of the envelopes. Then after some discussion I decided that I wanted them all to match so I waited until my mom could pick up some pretty wedding stamps.
The directions card was also an obstacle. I had no idea what the best way was to get people to the church. If you aren't sure where the church is and you have a GPS, please use it. I really don't want anyone getting lost on the day of the wedding because i am terrible at giving directions.
We finally found the new labels at Office Depot. I adjusted the old ones on the computer and excitedly printed them out. After some waiting, I noticed that they simply were not drying... at all. Then I read the package. These were meant for a laser printer and I was using an Ink Jet. The 5160 labels were just fine for a laser jet (it figures).
I am currently sitting at my computer, very frustrated, waiting for my mom to come home with new labels. No wonder there are bridezillas. Why must everything be so complicated?
The moral of the story is, when you receive your invitation, please take a moment to admire it. Thank you.

Can't Wait to Marry Him
I have a wonderful fiance. He has been working so hard to make our house perfect and has far exceeded my expectations. I am so blessed. Saying "I Do" to Dusty Merrill will be the easiest thing I have ever done.

The Bridal Shower
I can't believe the bridal shower is over. It was absolutely wonderful! I enjoyed every minute of it. I can't thank everyone enough for coming out to celebrate with us. I had some extra special help that day from some people and I would like to take a minute to thank them.
My beautiful bridesmaids- You girls worked so hard to make sure that I had the most perfect day and didn't have to worry about a thing. You are so wonderful and I love you all dearly.
My mom- I am so blessed to have you as a mom. I don't even know where to begin to thank you. I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did.
Grandma- You are amazing. Thank you for being there and helping with everything. You really looked beautiful in your new dress. :-)
Ashley Curry- You are a master decorator. Thanks for being there early and staying late. We couldn't have done it without you.
Sue Colvin- Thanks for being there early and helping clean up.
Dennine LaRue- You are always there. You are like my other mom. Thank you for for being so willing to help. Not only did you help with the shower, but during those few weeks after mom broke her wrist. You make some awesome macaroni and cheese. Oh and of course thank you for making and canning a massive amount of soup!
Sarah Leggat- I am so glad you got to be there on that day. It wouldn't have been the same without you. Thank you so much for taking care of everything food related. :-D
McKinzi Straub- My wonderful photographer! Thank you so much for spending the whole shower taking pictures. I can't tell you how much this meant to me and my mom. You have a gift for taking amazing photographs.
Michelle LaRue- My other wonderful photographer! You are like my secondary little sister. I love you and I am so glad you could be there for the shower.
Debbie Merrill- Thank you for making the wonderful Italian Wedding Soup.
Angel Massey- Thanks for being the cutest flower girl ever and handing my all of my presents.
Thank you to everyone that helped clean up afterwards. You are all wonderful!
To everyone who attended: Thank you! It was truly a perfect day.

Nerves
I had the pleasure of attending Jarrod and Nicci's rehearsal tonight. Of course standing there made me think about my own wedding. I have begun to have these little wedding panic attacks. They aren't about anything in particular. There is just so much that goes into that day. I am a nervous person to begin with. I am not apprehensive about the actual marriage, just the event itself. And I'm a little more than ecstatic to be marrying the love of my life.
I feel sorry for those that have to be around me the day before. I don't think I will be a bridezilla, just an unmanageable mess. I would like to apologize in advance. I would consider taking something to relax my nerves but I would probably turn out like Molly Ringwald's sister in Sixteen Candles. (If you have never seen this movie, I highly recommend watching it along with any other 1980's John Hughes movies.)

Hard to Believe
Every time I think about it, it begins to feel more surreal. I will be married to Dusty Merrill in 136 days. This is something I have patiently waited for for six years.
Things finally feel like they are coming together. Dusty has chosen his groomsmen: Jeremy Batten, Seth Campbell, Samuel Massey, and Ryan Merrill. We met with Brad and Stephanie to make plans for the ceremony. I ordered and received my invitations. Dusty is working on the save-the-dates... aren't you Dusty?
I got a scare a few weeks ago while I was at work. My phone rang and I picked it up thinking it was a subbing call, when it was our liaison at Fairmont State in charge of scheduling our reception hall. She notified me that the Relay for Life needed to use the space the night before for their Survivor's Dinner and asked if we would be able to decorate the morning of the wedding. I proceeded to inform her that it was a brunch wedding and there would be no time before to do such things. She also informed me that we had not paid our down payment on the hall (which she told us wasn't necessary when we visited to confirm our arrangements). After assuring her that I would get the check to her that day, she said she would talk to the group. While she did this, I called my mom to inform her of the situation. After a few phone calls were made, we had it all worked out. The group chose to use another room on campus. What could have been a huge mess thankfully fizzled out to nothing.
On Sunday I took a trip to Pittsburgh with my mom and three bridesmaids, Lauren, Sara and Renee. We had specific missions for our visit and accomplished almost all of them. I bought a few remaining items to my wedding day ensemble. I looked at junior bridesmaids dresses for Rachel. We also had to choose shoes for the bridesmaids. I purchased the items needed to assemble my reception center pieces. Oh and we stopped at Sarris on our way home. I'm not sure that was actually on our list though. ;-)
There is so much going on in my life right now. I know this wedding is going to be here before I know it.
